An Indonesian biker has done a fantastic mod job of fitting together the components of Yamaha R15 and R125 on a Yamaha’s old generation Vixion chassis.
Not many know, but R15 v1.0 was actually based on Vixion platform which has been selling in Asian market since long time before R15 came into existence.
According to the info provided by the rider, YZF-R125 body panels (that includes race specific front fairing, tank & exhaust) has been fitted onto the Vixion chassis and R15’s tail section and an additional front disk brake are integrated seemlessly into the all new looking bike. Stock handle bars have been replaced by an after market unit which though isn’t the best looking ones but hopefully provides good feedback to the rider. The speedometer of old generation Vixion remains the same on the bike as well.

We only wish that the new R15 version 3.0 which is rumoured to be in development stage currently, takes few design clues (specially that meaty tank) from such tasteful mods done by passionate fans of Yamaha across the globe.
